Kristie was very helpful from prenatal to postpartum. Her knowledge of the fine details really helped relax my mind to concentrate on the labor and delivery with clear focus. She was very professional in everything, and at the same time very approachable. She suggested many things such as aroma therapy and other items that helped in the progress towards delivery. Her attention to detail helped us to have mementos such as photographs, placenta artwork, and other memories that are priceless. Whether you are having your first pregnancy or having a subsequent one, I highly recommend her to help you have a birth without fear.

Sarah Leanne is our fifth child (2 miscarriages, 1 stillborn, and a 5 yr old girl named Abby), and she helped us tremendously through the emotional journey of making sure things I always wanted to do were done for Sarah. My labor & delivery was faster than we expected, but it was nice to know I had her support every step of the way. She made sure our family was good even after the birth, and the love of Jesus is shown brightly through her words and actions.

I have been with my wife Denise for 3 different births. This one however was unique, and that's not a bad thing at all. I can't tell you how many times that we as men think we have it all together, but there's a lot you carry unknowingly. You see I’m an angel daddy (I have three children that were gone too soon), and now 2 beautiful girls of 5 yrs. old & 7 weeks old. The first pregnancy my wife went to 33 weeks and it was found necessary to deliver due to health risks. Our son then was stillborn in 2008. Our daughter was born just 4 years later. That's the summary history of our family in births. Fast forward now to 2017, with the number 7 being completion.

Me and my wife Denise met Kristie and her great husband Jamie on a Tres Dias weekend. I can't tell you how awesome it is first to know such a loving couple that would do anything they could to help you. In the first meeting this was all new to me, and we were unsure of a few things. However she made me and my wife very relaxed and at peace before we all left to go back to our homes. There were many things my wife already had her mind set on doing, and some things that Kristie suggested to help also. She was professional, compassionate, helpful, and patient in everything she did. The one thing also is that she was real and open to anything we had questions on.

As my wife went a little later than her due date, we started to get a little nervous. However finally it came time for her to have an induction done to help her out. Kristie and my wife stayed in contact with each other a few times a week at a minimum. A good fisherman never goes to the pond or lake without a prepared tackle box, and Kristie made sure she was ready for anything that baby Sarah had planned for us. When it came time for the Pitocin to start, she was already on her way. My wife Denise and I stayed in contact letting Kristie know how everything was going, and she was at the hospital in a very reasonable amount of time. She went right to work helping set up aroma therapy that REALLY helped my wife. You see this time there was no epidural, IV medication for pain, as it was just my wife trooping through everything like she wanted to do (she's got the pain tolerance for sure). The time for the labor and delivery went faster than expected, and I felt a lot of burden and pressure lifted off of me in helping that is. She coached me and my wife in anything she seen that could be done to help, but not one time overstepped herself in any way. I come from a logistical military background, and this time I didn't worry with ANY of the fine details with Kristie there. It went smoothly with each contraction, and peacefully from the start to baby Sarah laid on my wife.

When Sarah was born she had another lady help with some of the photography. In every aspect covered down to the tiniest detail, so many memories that will be cherished due to the professionalism shown. It doesn’t matter if you need just a little bit or a lot of help. I highly recommend Birth Affirmations to help you in this chapter in your family’s life, as you will greatly appreciate it later. She checked on us later, and helped my wife in the first few hours with Sarah. I was able to help my wife more this time than in the past, and it felt great to know exactly what needed to be done this time around. The medical staff including the doctors and nurses worked right alongside with her, and was in perfect synchronization with each other. Can’t thank her and Birth Affirmations enough for everything they offer, and some I didn’t even think about!

You're such an amazing woman! I never thought I would have such a great doula who could coach me so well in the delivery room that I'd no have no need for labor drugs, the lavender oil did help stay calm. I'll never forget that day! Love you, you you're just AMAZING!! Crystal G.
